Original Story

For those of you who don’t know, my mother has had her usual doctor checkup just a few months ago. During that time, they found a lump in her intestine. No ideas where coming to mind to solve this mystery so they tested it. It was tested positive for cancer. So they tested the area where it was growing but no cancer cells where found to spread from the lump. Now she had two choices. One: to let it be and get a checkup every 4 months or so. Or two: to cut the area of intestine where the lump was growing and sew the rest back together. So just to be sure, this is what she went through. The surgery went one for a couple of hours. We were still at school at the time, but once we got home, we waited anxiously for my dad to come home and tell us about any news. So throughout the next few weeks, she stayed in the hospital drinking clear liquids and eating jell-o. Fun life. After a while, though not really rushing it, she got to walk around the center and through God’s wonderful grace, got through the surgery and if now at home. Life went on as usual. She was feeling great, eat solid foods regularly again and drive around town.
However, life was not all so peachy. We were informed later on that they found some cancer cells wandering the part of the intestine that they cut. So thankfully, she went with the surgery. But just to be 110% sure that there is no other loose cells in her body, she will be going through some chemotherapy to kill any other cancer cells.

Chemotherapy

My mother had the first course of chemo just last Tuesday and completed it with minimal side effect. Everyone has been praying earnestly for her and we are all overwhelmed with the care and concern from everyone.
She is feeling quite well. Praise the Lord, He answers prayers. She is up and about and doing all the chores and housework. We want to thank everyone so much for their offer to help.
Her next chemotherapy will be Oct. 24, my dad will drive her to the hospital early int he morning and Auntie Liz or Auntie Cythnia will drive her back.
Auntie Liz has been her "angel from heaven" as she says. She cooks for her and the family, she drives my siblings and I when we need a ride and she takes her to go grocery shopping. She is like her personal nurse. She is in good hands and thanks everyone for their support.
Please continue to pray that her and His healing will be in good strength.
He is our God Almighty.
